This week, the class focused on testing their prototypes in the Stanford community. Students are encouraged to prototype and test with scope in mind. Because this class is only 10 weeks long for an end-to-end design project, students only have approximately a week to test. They must be intentional in deciding the variables they want to test, with 2 in-class opportunities to gain feedback on their designs. Students first test each other’s prototypes in class, then prepare for guiding users through testing during Week 10 in our class’s Playtest Showcase, using this guiding template. Below are some guidelines on how to test a prototype from the d.school:
